Mount Carmel A.M.E. Zion Campground

Source 📝

228:. It was established in 1866 and consists of a complex of approximately 55 small "cabins" or "tents" and the brick church of Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Zion Church is located in the general form of a rectangle. Mount Carmel A.M.E Zion Church Campmeeting starts every year on the first Wednesday in September, and last for 4–5 days. An "arbor," or open-air structure, is located in the center of the complex, where music, gospel singing, praise and worship, preaching and teachings are held. People come to worship, fellowship, network, and eat food from as far as New York City, NY to Orlando, FL. There is also a section on the grounds for vendors. The majority of the cabins are small frame, some are two story cabins for larger families made from concrete block and wooden structures. Also on the property is the church cemetery. 452: 65: 90: 51: 811: 868: 459: 97: 72: 695: 535: 680: 660: 585: 580: 560: 550: 520: 958: 818: 731: 645: 630: 615: 590: 570: 565: 540: 485: 475: 670: 650: 640: 575: 545: 525: 510: 505: 500: 490: 389: 938: 665: 620: 610: 595: 530: 515: 495: 685: 675: 655: 635: 605: 555: 752: 690: 600: 480: 700: 726: 716: 625: 736: 721: 953: 948: 382: 983: 402: 375: 852: 757: 928: 780: 775: 441: 431: 64: 968: 129: 963: 89: 845: 785: 426: 211: 973: 909: 933: 838: 398: 297: 232: 37: 943: 262: 225: 978: 256: 221: 902: 117: 367: 317: 250: 988: 770: 421: 895: 790: 436: 416: 302: 345: 268: 346:"Mount Carmel A.M.E.
