157:পারুলিয়া শাহী মসজিদ:নরসিংদী সদরের পশ্চিমে পলাশ উপজেলার পারুলিয়া গ্রামে রয়েছে মোগল আমলের অপূর্ব নির্দশন পারুলিয়া দেওয়ান শরিফ মসজিদ। তিন গম্বুজ বিশিস্ট মসজিদটি এই জেলার প্রাচীনতম নির্দশনের মধ্যে অন্যতম। এর প্রবেশ দ্বারের উপরে ফার্সি ভাষায় কবিতার ছন্দে লেখা আছে মসজিদটি নির্মাণের সংক্ষিপ্ত ইতিহাস। মসজিদের পাশেই রয়েছে ঈশা খাঁ'র পঞ্চম অধস্তন পুরুষ দেওয়ান শরীফ খাঁ ও তার স্ত্রী জয়নব বিবির যুগল মাজার। ১৭১৯ খ্রিস্টাব্দে বিবি জয়নব এই তিন গম্বুজ বিশিস্ট মসজিদটি নির্মান করেন। ইতিহাস থেকে জানা যায় বর্তমান এই নরসিংদী সম্রাট আকবরের রাজত্বকালে মহেশ্বরদী নামে পরিচিত ছিল। ১৭১৭ খ্রিস্টাব্দে সুবেদার মুর্শিদকুলি খাঁ বংগদেশের সুবেদার নিযুক্ত হলে তার কন্যা জয়নব বিবির সাথে মনোয়ার খাঁ এর পঞ্চম পুত্র শরিফ খাঁ বিবাহ দেন। জামাতাকে উপহার সরুপ এই মহেশ্বরদী পরগানার দেওয়ানী দান করেন। তখন থেকে তিনি দেওয়ান শরিফ খাঁ হিসাবে সমাধিক পরিচিতি লাভ করেন। তার নামে এলাকার নামকরন হয় শরিফপুর। এই শরিফপুরেই ১৭১৯ খ্রিস্টাব্দে শরিফ খাঁ'র স্ত্রী জয়নব বিবি এই মসজিদটি নির্মান করেন। কালের বির্বতনে শরিফপুর নামটি বিলুপ্ত হয়ে পারুলিয়া হলেও কালের সাক্ষী হিসাবে রয়ে গেছে ৩০০ বছরের প্রাচীন মোগল মসজিদটি। যা এখন পারুলিয়া দেওয়ান শরিফ মসজিদ হিসাবে ব্যাপক পরিচিত। এক সময় ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদী দিয়ে বড় বড় পাল উড়িয়ে পালের নৌকা আসা যাওয়া করতো। তখন এলাকাবাসী পালের নৌকা দেখতে নদীর তীরে এবং নৌকায় নদী পারাপার হতো বলে এই এলাকার নামকরন শরিফপুর থেকে পারুলিয়া হয়ে যায়। একটি মাজার, একটি হুজুরখানা, ৪টি পুকুর তার আশপাশের প্রায় ২০ বিঘা জমি নিয়ে পারুলিয়া মসজিদটি অবস্থিত। ১৮৯৭ সালের ভূমিকম্পে মসজিদের ছাদে ফাটল দেখা দেয়, ধংস হয়ে যায় দেওয়ান সাহেবের কাচারি ঘর ও নায়েব সাহেবের ভবনটি। পরবর্তীতে এই মসজিদটি বেশ কয়েক বার সংস্কার করা হয়। মসজিদের পশ্চিম পাশে এবং পুকুরের পূর্ব তীরে রয়েছে এক গম্বুজ বিশিষ্ঠ সমাধি সৌধ। এই সৌধের ভিতরে পাশাপাশি আছে জয়নব বিবি ও দেওয়ান শরিফ খাঁ'র কবর। ১১২৮ হিজরিতে দেওয়ান শরীফ খাঁ ইন্তিকাল করেন। জয়নব বিবির শেষ ইচ্ছা অনুযায়ী পরের বছর তিনি মারা গেলে স্বামীর পাশেই তাকে দাফন করা হয়। বর্তমানে এই সমাধি সৌধটি জয়নব বিবির মাজার হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে
