Taufkirche gestanden haben. Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts steht der Heilige in ganzer Gestalt im Siegel. Die Stadt Hofheim wünschte 1938 ein neues Wappen mit dem Stadttor von Hofheim als Symbol der Stadt und Hinweis auf die ehemalige Befestigung. Das Verfahren wurde bei Ausbruch des Krieges eingestellt. Nach Kriegsende steht in Siegeln und Abbildungen der Heilige in ganzer Figur mit Fellen bekleidet, in der Rechten das Buch haltend, auf dem das Gotteslamm ruht, in grünem Feld. Die Wiederannahme des alten Wappens erfolgte formlos, spätestens in den 1960er-Jahren.
