local conditions. Each car is equippedwith four G. E. 51 motors, rated at 80 hp each, and pneu-matic trolley bases have been fitted on them. One of thesecars has been in constant service on the Long Beach lineof the
Pacific Electric Railway for some time, and is usedfor the flyer service, morning and evening, making a speed regularly of a mile a minute. Thereconstructed car is 55 ft. longover all, and weighs 62,500 lbs.,while the standard 250 type carof the company is 49 ft. 6 ins. inlength and weighs 64,700 lbs.
