In 1723, Shukrallah aided Basilius Gurgis, metropolitan bishop of Bushairiyya, in the construction of the Monastery of Saint Cyriacus at Bushairiyya. He acted to ensure the rights of the Church of Saint Thomas at Quṭurbul near Amid were legally registered in 1725 and again in 1729. The church,
