On 15 January 1944 he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet for heroism in battle. His name is written on a memorial plaque in Bashkortostan among the 78 Heroes of the Soviet Union from the 60th Guards Chernigov Cavalry Regiment.
