Yeah, I was at the Wendish festival several years ago (maybe 2001 or 2002). The church service was in German, but there was one prayer spoken by one person in Upper Sorbian. There was a woman from Lusatia demonstrating Easter egg dyeing, but she spoke only German (and English), no Sorbian. I remember

I'm unable to view it presently but will do so later at home. I agree with you on the subject of the sign vs. speakers. Efforts are underway to bring back the Bird's Wedding this January in the local parochial school which should also mean teaching of a few words in Upper Sorbian. It's a start,
