German to be reasonably sure it's being used correctly, and it's the source for the hook. The other assertions in the article are neutrally phrased, consistently cited, and plausible enough that I'm not concerned about not being able to directly access the sources electronically without paying for them. The hook is under 200 characters, and it's a quirky enough fact (connecting Hitler and fertilizer) that I think it works.
