furthermore, there aren't many afghanistan war protests so another template would be too small and would likely get deleted, we can link to the iraq war protest movement in general too within the template, maybe hallmark it as a top topic, but the recent name change i instituted would be the best for this era of protest and the purpose of this template, also, why where the contemporary protest groups removed from the template, they are not repeated in "{{anti-war}}" not one of them, so maybe we could add them back in, it would not make it too big, if not can we create a new template for them and link the templates together?
167:
significantly less protests about Afghanistan than Iraq, a navbox for those is not necessary. Lumping a whole bunch of stuff together in one navbox like it was overlapped another template's subject matter on a very similar topic, which is a bad idea considering that this one will likely be paired with the anti-war template in every case given the subject matter (however, merging the two is a bad idea because the anti-war template shouldn't contain the specific protests in it).
256:. A war between chile and peru or lebanon and israel would not count. thats why the template was named for the war on terror. this template is not specifically about the protesters its about the contemporary protest movement and it can easily and unobtrusively display both the major involved groups and the protests both have great relevance together. 251:
No i don't realize this, only american wars such as hypothetical invasion of iran and the associated protests would be included, i doubt there will be another war, as for possible future wars, those are your speculation and we can be sure that there are not going to be multiple new wars, and in the

The whole idea is that protests against the Iraq war are numerous, and a navbox to join them all together would be beneficial. Protests against the war on terror first off assumes that the Iraq war has something to do with 9/11, which many will doubt that it does, and additionally, as there were
224:
You realize that ANY war that happens after September 11, 2001 is a "post 9/11 war", and so your argument falls apart as the template would grow overly large with every war fought from that date forward. As for why the anti-war groups are not included, it's because this template is specifically
147:
can we discuss this....what code? and what narrowing? the template was created around the central topic of protests on the war on terror, i couldn't find the appropriate article at the time, but iraq war is overly narrow and post 9/11 most broadly and succinctly defines the era of protest,
124:
what overlap did it have, i don't see any of the same topics having ever been duplicated. the anti-war template seems to focus on general broad topics, this one is supposed to focus on specific contemporary anti war
198:
The iraq war is a post 9/11 war and it was justified under this regardless of your personal viewpoints and opinions and OR. also why are the war groups not included? i cry booooo!
22: 252:
slim chance that there are they would be included, this period would be like the cold war period and it would eventually
47: 21:
it shouldn't be named protests against, this template was made for all protests for and against the war on terror.
225:
about the protests themselves and not the anti-war organizations, which are outside the scope of this template.

That's because I greatly narrowed the focus of the template. Previously, it had significant overlap with

If you want one for the war, create one, and add it to protests for the Iraq war.
38: 282:
The "contemporary protest movement" is centered around one war: Iraq.
66:
how about for the organizations...why aren't they there anymore?
176:
Remember - please look at the whole picture when you act.
98:. Now, it's more specific and focused, on protests only. 8: 7: 14: 1: 314: 292:10:07, 24 June 2008 (UTC) 266:08:15, 24 June 2008 (UTC) 235:07:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC) 208:01:53, 22 June 2008 (UTC) 186:19:49, 20 June 2008 (UTC) 158:19:34, 20 June 2008 (UTC) 135:04:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC) 108:04:09, 18 June 2008 (UTC) 76:03:26, 18 June 2008 (UTC) 58:02:23, 18 June 2008 (UTC) 31:19:28, 17 June 2008 (UTC) 55: 305: 97: 91: 56: 41: 313: 312: 308: 307: 306: 304: 303: 302: 95: 89: 37: 19: 12: 11: 5: 311: 309: 301: 300: 299: 298: 297: 296: 295: 294: 273: 272: 271: 270: 269: 268: 258:Myheartinchile 244: 243: 242: 241: 240: 239: 238: 237: 215: 214: 213: 212: 211: 210: 200:Myheartinchile 191: 190: 189: 188: 171: 170: 169: 168: 161: 160: 150:Myheartinchile 144: 143: 142: 141: 140: 139: 138: 137: 127:Myheartinchile 115: 114: 113: 112: 111: 110: 81: 80: 79: 78: 68:Myheartinchile 61: 60: 18: 15: 13: 10: 9: 6: 4: 3: 2: 310: 293: 289: 285: 281: 280: 279: 278: 277: 276: 275: 274: 267: 263: 259: 255: 250: 249: 248: 247: 246: 245: 236: 232: 228: 223: 222: 221: 220: 219: 218: 217: 216: 209: 205: 201: 197: 196: 195: 194: 193: 192: 187: 183: 179: 175: 174: 173: 172: 165: 164: 163: 162: 159: 155: 151: 146: 145: 136: 132: 128: 123: 122: 121: 120: 119: 118: 117: 116: 109: 105: 101: 94: 87: 86: 85: 84: 83: 82: 77: 73: 69: 65: 64: 63: 62: 59: 53: 49: 45: 40: 35: 34: 33: 32: 28: 24: 16: 253: 20: 23:70.7.222.52 284:SchuminWeb 227:SchuminWeb 178:SchuminWeb 100:SchuminWeb 52:E-mail me 44:Talk Page 93:anti-war 48:Contribs 125:topics 39:Nwwaew 288:Talk 262:talk 231:Talk 204:talk 182:Talk 154:talk 131:talk 104:Talk 72:talk 27:talk 17:name 254:end 50:) ( 46:) ( 290:) 264:) 233:) 206:) 184:) 156:) 133:) 106:) 96:}} 90:{{ 74:) 29:) 286:( 260:( 229:( 202:( 180:( 152:( 129:( 102:( 70:( 54:) 42:( 25:(
