16:"Wounded Ego" is the moniker chosen by singer-songwriter Bill Ross (Wounded Ego Music, BMI), who had written a song by that name (actually, "The Ballad of Wounded Ego"). The ballad recounts the tale of a young native American boy who laments the passing of the old ways and sets out to prove their veracity by going off into the desert alone to invoke the rain gods by a rain dance. But the rains don't come and he has to return to the village, humiliated. The song can be heard at 27:
