920:, the reason for the jump in figures is that the method of compiling the usage statistics has changed. Previously, where there was more than one station in a group (e.g. in a city centre, like Liverpool, Birmingham or Manchester), most tickets sold to "Liverpool Stations" were counted towards the largest station (e.g. Lime Street). This meant that for second-largest stations the figures were ludicrously wide of the mark. Now they've found a better way of doing it. This explains the change from 1.2 million to 7 million.
