195:(2) As indicated by you earlier, dealing with the flags for the years up to 1910 is not so simple, and there clearly is not an ideal way to deal with it. I note that in a number of instances, you have displayed four flags (the four South African colonies or the two Boer republics and two colonies), two on the left of template box and two on the right. Whilst aestheticaly pleasing, one might be mistaken in assumaing that the two on the left were for the earlier period and these on the right for the later period. May I suggest that, where the was no change in flags for the period covered by the article and there were three or more flags that relate to such period, the flags in question appear along the top of the template box, above any text. (It believe that this is preferable to the "over-kill" of showing, say, the same four flags on both the left and the right side of the template box.
192:(1) When displaying flags in templates of this nature, the flag to the right in the template box, generally indicates the flag following (or at the end of) the period covered by the article, and that to the left, the flag for the period preceding (or at the beginning of) the period covered by the article. Accordingly, the flags to the left of the box in the template box for the years 1912, 1928 and 1994 should be the flag that was in use at the beginning of the years in question. (Thats's the easy bit!)

When I get a chance I'll have a look at the new Template and let you know if I have any comments (although I'm not really as expert). However, I would add that I am mighty impressed by you work so far. Cheers

Yes, I am very aware of the history of the flag, and also know how to do it, technically that is, but... I suppose I'm feeling a bit "culturally sensitive" or some such thing, at least until I've completed the insertion of the template throughout the series. Also, there remains the problem of what to

Hi again. I'm not sure how it works with others, but I tend to add the Talk page for another user to my watchlist (i.e. clicking on the star at the top of the page, which then turns blue) once communications are established, although not necessarily indefinitely. Some users specifically state on the

121:. The last thing I did to my sub-template, I did actually not expect to work 100%, so I'm a bit suspiscious about the fact that apparently it does, and will possibly wait a bit before implementing it, but in the meantime: Any comments? Suggestions? Complaints?
