178:, Fernandez is notable beyond simply being a failed electoral candidate. Admittedly the article didn't do a very good job of imparting this, but he's the president of the party's Quebec wing, and therefore legitimately important in the development of a legitimate political party. I've added some info to the article now to make its notability a bit more clear, so I guess I'm with the keepers. 55:. All it says is he ran for election (and presumably lost). Lots of people lose elections, there is no astonishing achievement to run for an election. I could run for election in the next UK general election, and although I'd undoubtedly lose my deposit, I'd bet I could get more than 84 votes, which this guy did. 123:. If the only place you will find information for this unsuccessful candidate for an election is in Knowledge (XXG), then that candidate is certainly non-notable. If someone wants to keep this information, put it on a site that is less encyclopedic. 37:
Keep. As a general rule, I'd suggest that anyone who campaigns for the Canadian House of Commons is eligible for an entry on Knowledge (XXG). This page needs a cleanup; it doesn't need to be deleted.
33:
This article is associated with an unsuccessful candidate whose attempt is documented in the associated election results article. The article seems to be non-notable and was flagged for cleanup.

That argument would hold water a little better if I hadn't provided a link with more info in it already -

Keep. I presume if this person had run for office on a Star Trek episode it would be fine to keep them.

but fix (ie get rid of "legend of Pierre Trudeau", give riding he ran in and votes received)
100:. Wiki is the only place you'll find this info. the world needs a place for these people. 158: 89: 39: 179: 124: 79: 69: 189: 175: 108: 56: 88:- this person was on the ballot in a real election. That's notable enough. 147:
got same reasons as for Rick Barsley plus what Jallan says above.
8: 78:. As what "Average Earthman" mentioned. -- 167:Losing an election just don't cut it. 18:Knowledge (XXG):Articles for deletion 7: 24: 68:.
