Knowledge:Sockpuppet investigations/Vallabhas/Archive is a separate SPI for a number of users with similar names and editing tendencies as this puppeteer, so I don't know if they need to be merged, or flagged as the same person somehow. That account has been identified as a sock and indeffed. Since that account is active on identical pages (known sock contribs: https://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Contributions/Hjnshb; suspected sock contribs: https://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Contributions/Bshjsn) and these usernames are acronyms of each other, I would assume this is another sock as part of the same long-term abuse campaign. Both accounts attempted to create the same pair of pages, which were speedily deleted, according to the user talk pages of each sock: https://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:Hjnshb --known sock; https://en.wikipedia.org/User_talk:Bshjsn --suspected sock. Realvk (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is making the exact same edits as the last several Vallabharebel socks, but I misfiled the SPI without capitalizing the 'V' - can someone move Knowledge:Sockpuppet_investigations/vallabharebel to the right spot, and block the sock while we're at it? User contribs will tell the story - compare Realvk's to, say, those of blocked socks Special:Contributions/Bhbhhbns, Special:Contributions/Hsyukab, /Special:Contributions/Vallabhadeshn, Special:Contributions/Vallabhasesss... All of these have been blocked in the Vallabharebel investigation listed above - this month.

I have no interest in cricket, I just stumbled across this a couple of weeks ago clicking around recent changes and watchlisted it to see if it would happen again. It did. User:El_C temporarily blocked the first copy I noticed when it had acquired repeated disruptive editing warnings, another one got blocked as a sock after and that's when I learned about the entire thing, and, well, here it goes again.   • I ran a check on Realvk based on some of the article overlap, esp. at Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, and it seems like this account is  Unlikely to the other Vallabharebel socks. It seems like the behavioral similarities may be coincidental. @Kistaro windrider: You said that Realvk is making the "exact same edits" as the last several Vallabharebel socks, but this isn't totally obvious to me. For example, on Chennai Super Kings, it looks like Realvk added prose content to the article , whereas the past Vallabharebel socks were more focused on statistics . And since Zhjsb got banned, this sock just started up again and I believe SPI didn't do a check and find this one. Really, it's just very similar editing pattern. I have to say, I'm not convinced. This user did create Draft:Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, which Zhjsb has also created in mainspace, but other than that, their edits have mainly been around Bangladeshi actors / TV shows rather than IPL teams / other U19 cricketers. This user also uses edit summaries, which I've never seen any of the previous socks do. Unless other similarities occur, I'd say this is a coincidence. Spike 'em (talk) 12:06, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the diffs, was going to supply them later. I'd also support a checkuser: I think there has been other suspicious editing on these articles, but not quite enough for me to raise a separate SPI. Vanamonde93, I can't speak for what the CUs see, but when a sockmaster has made hundreds of socks and keeps on socking I tend to assume that an effective rangeblock isn't possible (otherwise they wouldn't be socking).   • This was a 🦆 once I found where to look, and I have blocked & tagged the account, and deleted the pages it created. However, Pahunkat, you could have saved me a good deal of trouble by briefly giving an indication where, when, or by what accounts Cuttack Tigers and Vizag Victors had previously been created. You can't expect an administrator reviewing a report to necessarily have any previous knowledge of a case, and I had to do quite a bit of searching to find where things were.
