Association for Higher Education (FAHE) so have developed several good friendships with Quakers from all over the place, including, in no particular order Baltimore, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Kansas, Ohio, Guildford, California (especially Whittier), Bolivia, Peru, Kenya, Rwanda, England, Iowa, and of course, Oregon/Washington/Idaho (both NWYM and PYM). Encountered Friends when I attended George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon and began a process of becoming convinced. I am not a joiner by nature, but the fit was so exact I finally could not resist. Earned PhD in Org Com, with foci in Semiotics/Anth linguistics/Philosophy and Communication (so I tend to focus on organizations, structures and the "why" things are like they are). I am an evangelical, but am wondering if the term is particularly useful any more, given how it has been drug around by the political right. I am frequently amazed at how misunderstood various groups of Quakers seem to be, especially by one another. Supporter of FCNL, AFSC, RSWR, etc.
