Not all of these articles are on contemporary subjects, and definitions of what constitute "popular culture" vary, but the FA list is clearly heavy on articles related to current, popular media. This is perhaps best underscored by the smaller categories: 113: 227:(TFA). With an ever increasing number of FAs, articles are waiting longer to be on the main page, and some (barring a change in main page structure) are likely never to appear. Video games and other popular culture articles have thus been opposed as TFA candidates over topic balance concerns, often leading to argument (e.g. 576:(that does include the music group articles, unfortunately). The 500,000 number is not really accurate enough to use except as a wild estimate (and if even 0.1% of the biography articles are untagged, that would be 500 untagged articles). Sorry, that is getting way off topic. But could the 403 figure be included? 571:
The other big statistic I pulled out of that analysis I did at the weekend was biography articles. The figure of 403 featured biographical articles about people. Could you squeeze that in as a sentence that there are other ways to cut up the FA cake? Maybe, along with a mention that there are far too
