I'm not sure the drive has been a roaring success, but I've tried to do my part by creating or improving articles that I'm interested in and nominating them for DYK or GA status. An interesting project that J.L.W.S. is keen on pursuing is to have a special Knowledge (XXG) presence for Singapore on its National Day (9 August) in 2010. This will involve getting a Singapore-related article to GA, having Singapore mentioned in OTD and nominating a few articles to appear on DYK on that day. I'm pretty busy at the moment and expect to be this year, but will do what I can to help. 1148:
assumption that contributing edits is, by definition, communicating itself. "I'm writing all of this content about X," the editor thinks. "So why is no one responding to my communications?" Introversion is confused with extroversion, & the silence is wrongly interpreted as a lack of approval -- or even disapproval -- leading to isolation & so forth. (This dynamic is not unique to Knowledge (XXG): I know from experience that one's first encounter of honest criticism in a creative writing class can be quite devastating. But online media seems to strengthen this effect.) --

Wikipedians end up feeling isolated, become more discouraged & enter a vicious cycle that may lead them to leave. --
