The 2024 Major League Baseball postseason will be the playoff tournament of Major League Baseball (MLB) for the 2024 season. The winners of the Wild Card Series would face the two best division winners (seeds) in each league in the Division Series, and the victors will advance to the League Championship Series to determine the pennant winners who will play each other in the 2024 World Series. The postseason will begin on October 1.

In the American League, the New York Yankees became the first MLB team in the league this season to clinch a postseason berth on September 18; they returned to the postseason for the seventh time in the past 8 seasons on September 18, after missing the postseason last year. On September 19, the Cleveland Guardians returned to the postseason for the seventh time in the past 12 seasons.

In the National League, the Milwaukee Brewers became the first MLB team of 2024 as well as the first team in the league this season to clinch a postseason berth on September 18. The Los Angeles Dodgers returned to the postseason for the 12th time in a row on September 19, which remains the longest active playoff streak in major North American professional sports. The Philadelphia Phillies returned to the postseason for the third time in a row on September 20.

The defending World Series champions, Texas Rangers, were eliminated from postseason contention on September 20.
