506:. The name of the school was first known as O'Reilly Educational Institute. The school was officially declared open by the Hon. Dowuona - Hammond, the then Minister of Education. The school was founded with the sole aim of providing education for ambitious lads of poor parents. The kindergarten section was the first to be established in 1925 and by nearly 1927, 200 small children were attending the school.
