Rodowick has been a visiting professor at the Institut fĂĽr Geschichte, Universität Wien, Vienna, Austria  and at the UniversitĂ© Sorbonne Nouvelle—Paris 3, Paris, France. He is currently an International Associate of the Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe Cinepoetics at the Freie Universität Berlin. He is best known for his contributions to cinema and media studies, visual cultural studies, critical theory, and aesthetics and the philosophy of art.
