228: 216: 204: 170:, which erupts from a vent close to Fountain's, is larger, but is inactive during most years. Fountain, by contrast, is usually active. It is a fountain-type geyser that erupts jets ranging in height up to 80 feet (24 m) or more, with most eruptions containing at least a few bursts that reach 40 to 50 feet. Intervals (= eruption start to eruption start) vary from year to year but are commonly about 4.5 to 6 hours, with occasional longer intervals of 11 to 12 hours. Durations of eruptions are typically about 30 minutes. Occasionally, Fountain departs from its usual behavior and enters so-called "wild-phase" eruption, during which the height is much reduced but the duration can be as long as two weeks. 192: 500: 1074: 606: 29: 616: 227: 1108: 1103: 701: 609: 215: 203: 1113: 290: 350: 489: 316: 191: 61: 281: 828: 721: 652: 560: 550: 691: 370: 286: 262: 152: 716: 570: 565: 696: 54: 1098: 989: 941: 711: 1039: 619: 343: 818: 798: 742: 359: 156: 1054: 1034: 1029: 1014: 969: 959: 954: 276: 328: 1009: 1004: 999: 994: 979: 752: 258: 1059: 1024: 984: 964: 949: 772: 519: 1049: 1044: 974: 916: 645: 499: 434: 336: 174: 47: 1019: 871: 813: 808: 762: 926: 777: 767: 737: 555: 459: 896: 757: 706: 429: 166:
