The Regime of the Horse Artillery of the Imperial Guard was created by imperial decree on 15 April 1806. It was organized into three squadrons, two of veterans and one of velites, each divided into two companies of 60 men, for a theoretical total of 360 artillerymen. The Guard's horse artillery
