on 31 May 1682. He married Mary Williams of St. James in the Fields by licence dated 18 June 1687, and was called to the bar in 1688. His father, whose estate had considerable electoral influence, died in June 1695.

Eyre was an active lawyer throughout his life. He became a bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1715, and died there on 2 November 1715 at the age of 50. He left all his real estates to his nephew Giles Eyre.
