The facility operated in this capacity until 1967. From 1952 to 1961 the director of the centre was Dr Stanisław Bieniek. The facility was then expanded. The dormer part of the sanatorium (the oldest part, from 1909) was expanded by a floor and the two side pavilions were connected to the main structure.
