Burrard was Mayor of Lymington again from 1716 to 1717. In 1718 he yielded up the post of commissioner for leather duty, but remained as commissioner for taxes until 1722. He was appointed deputy-lieutenant for Hampshire in 1721 and Ranger of the New Forest in 1722. He was returned to Parliament at
