As far as I know there is competion between the 2 orginisations for events but there seem to be enough to go around so yes, I belive that there is a market for two ECW groups in the UK. I know of no one in my own regiment who holds dual membership between the ECWS and the SK, my regiment is a member

I'm puzzled why the ECWS and Sealed Knot continue with their long, protracted schism - is there a sufficient market for two ECW reenactment societies in the UK? I understand that members do have dual membership - but this does not seem to apply to the hierarchies of each organisation. Any ideas
