Friday afternoons would be allowed to walk out the gates at Stanbridge and Steirger Streets while high school kids walked home. (That would have been in the mid 70s). The State Hospital, also referred to as the Farm Park now has a paved walking trail, baseball fields, and other amenities. I would love to learn more about this history of this facility as well as up to date information. Many buildings look abandoned, but it is obvious people are still there.
