345:•The football teams of San Jose High Academy and Lincoln face off at San Jose City College each Thanksgiving in the Big Bone Game. This rivalry game has been held since 1945; it gets its name from San Jose High (now Academy) student Bob Schimdt in 1945, who found a large steer leg in his father's butcher shop and declared it the trophy for the winning school. San Jose won the first Big Bone, but Lincoln has been the home of the bone for 38 of the 62 years. Also, Lincoln has been in possession of the bone for eleven straight years, beating the second longest streak in Big Bone history set by Lincoln from 1962 to 1969. Lincoln's 2008 victory ended with a score of 57-0.
