unhelpful, like the
Brazilian basin names that follow the neighbouring state rather than the geology, but probably something worth looking at longer term. Thanks for the Gladczenko et al. ref, I have access to the Geol Soc library, so I can get at that one. You have no doubt seen that there are an almost limitless number of geological articles that could do with improving - beware of the timesink that this place can become if you're not careful, but thanks for contributing. 158:, I didn't add the Brazilian Margin to the list I think I just reformatted the list when I added other entries. I think you are right that it would be more correct to just classify the south part of this margin as volcanic i.e. from where the SDRs are visible (South of -20Deg)? The paper 'South Atlantic volcanic margins' Gladczenko et al., (1997) in the Geological Society of London Journal has a good map on Figure 1. If you don't have access to this paper I can send you a copy.

I should mention that the reason I'm bringing it up here is that I know that it's difficult when you first start editing to cope with your changes being removed/altered with minimal explanation. It will happen and you have to work with the system, imperfect as it is. We've lost a few excellent expert

article, I noticed that you added all
Brazilian margins as 'volcanic'. My understanding (based on working all the basins from Espírito Santo to Barreirinhas) is that things change in the Sergipe-Alagoas basin, with everything further north being mainly non-volcanic - certainly in terms of SDR

Sorry about that, I should have checked more closely about exactly which changes you'd made. 20°S sounds about right, although what we could really do with is articles on each of the margins to link to in the examples list. Problem is that many of them don't have recognised names or they're
