One of the most important things to keep in mind on the wiki is not to allow our egos to get in the way of what is best for the articles, and at the same time to be aware that many do, and thus a calm and cautious, well-worded approach is often the best way to solve a disagreement, rather than the "how could you be such an ignorant ape?" sort of edit summary ;) I've had people on here question my ability to read, strange as that may seem.
