solid throughout, and there was a hint of yellow in its appearance. It was a definite step forward though, and although it could be consumed by chewing in very small portions to allow the digestive system time to defend itself, after a couple of minutes (dependant on ambient temperature and pressure conditions) any object immersed in NC2 would be trapped forever. However, it was the light at the end of the tunnel that Norma needed, and enough to spur her on to greater achievements. It was obvious even at that stage that NC possessed a great deal of potential, so the next step was to invest in better equipment, and to gather as much relevant information as possible to better understand the nature of the forces and processes at work in this situation. In due course, an angle-grinder, flame-cutter, M.I.G. welder, hydraulic press, and various specialist tools normally found in a blacksmithā€™s forge were acquired along with an army-surplus cement-mixer, and at the same time Norma attended evening classes on alchemy and medieval siege-workshop fabrication practises, whilst researching ancient torture techniques and witchcraft (but that was just for fun.). All this preparation helped enormously, but things really took off with the purchase of an industrial-quality non-stick cauldron, which enabled the production of large batches of NC, prepared under varying conditions. Each batch was given a numerical suffix, eg. NC3, NC4, NC5, etc. and samples given to specialised test-centres for evaluation purposes.
747:
being apparently foolproof, these wise words didnā€™t deter Norma from experimenting with every tried, tested, and proved aspect of the preparation method. Not surprisingly the outcome is difficult to describe, and I still get emotional whenever I think about it! Iā€™ll never forget the picture etched indelibly on my mind of a slice of apple pie sitting in a dessert dish, oblivious to its impending doom. Somehow, Norma managed to extricate some NC from the non-sick pan, and without due care and attention, or any regard for personal safety, mercilessly deployed the NC which instantly annihilated the pie. I tried to salvage what I could from the incident, but I was too late, and my efforts were in vain as by the time Iā€™d chiselled the NC away, the poor pie was totally unrecognisable, not to say inedible. I couldnā€™t help thinking that if the Red Sea had been made of NC even Moses would have struggled to part it, and the course of the Holy Bible changed forever!

populated area of Scotland for the purposes of public safety. The funding was useful, enabling the purchase of new biohazard suits and other protective work-wear, and allowed Norma to continue in her quest without needing to resort to accepting the offers of money coming in from numerous terrorist groups and governments of small countries. In return, the MoD demanded sole rights to NCā€™s military applications, an agreement to only transport amounts less than the ā€œcritical massā€ (in suitable containers), and with prior notification to the relevant officials so that a safe passage with an armed escort could be assured. As a precaution, it was also requested that Norma signed the ā€œOfficial Secrets Actā€ as the nationā€™s security could be at risk should information find its way into the wrong hands.

the "false" sections should thay still not allign with what you believe to be the truth can only fan the flames yet again. As for the other troubled articles, it seems to me that the problems boil down to each editor claiming that "their reference sources are better than other editor's" and therefore the closest to the truth. A magic wand would come in handy here, and once waved would demonstrate to all concerned where the real (and verifiable) truth lies in each case, but unfortunately I don't have one! All that can be done is to re-word the offending sections in a way that includes both views together with an indication that there is some doubt as to the veracity of the reference sources. (Perhaps the Scottish verdict of "not proven"

there are two sides at least to every arguement, but I will not be involved in a war between editors and neither will I be swayed one way or the other. I will comment purely on the good/bad aspects of the article if and when I feel that what I have to say is worthwhile, constructive, and fair, and not before. And please Opus, don't ask me to relax and take a chill pill, I'm simply putting the record straight.

I'm sorry that none of this really resolves any of the issues once and for all Opus, but in the absence of consensus, it's simply a case of having to accommodate every opinion and remain encyclopedic.--

There are intermediate and later variants, either having no particular useful properties, or too unstable for practical purposes, with the exception of NC26 which is being evaluated for its medical uses, but not yet approved for human use as it results in a rash and swelling of the affected areas. It may sound innocuous enough, but Normaā€™s custard (NC) is the stuff that legends are made of, and the creator of heroes! We are all used to the familiar warm, sweet, edible yellow liquid that can be created in a wide range of thicknesses to please the palate ā€“ well, you can forget about any of that
557:
That's a highly charged statement that you've made, and whether you are correct or not in your convictions, it will be difficult to incorporate them into the Arrow article without stirring up a hornets nest unless you are very careful and also manage to put the alternative argument forward with equal
531:
Unlike the United Kingdom, where politicians will go to the grave in silence, rather than imply an opponent was in error, politics in Canada is a 'blood sport.' The Arrow Legend was cooked up, leaked memos And all, by a HIGHLY paid public relations firm. Since Pearkes was considered a "risk to touch"

Very poetic Opus, you do have an uncommon way with words which can be quite entertaining at times! Your willingness to refrain from editing the CF-105 article for four months is a worthy gesture of good-will and should allow some cooling of the situation, however, the mention of returning to "truth"

I donā€™t have definite information on Eastriggs prior to WW I, the place to look would be the New Statistical Account for Scotland (published between 1834 and 1845) or the Third Statistical Account for Scotland (published 1944 onwards) which should be in the local county library. NC11 quickly followed NC10 with which it shares many similarities, but the main property that is of interest to the RAF is its ā€œstealthā€ capabilities, as the aircraft (or any other object) to which it is thinly applied is rendered almost totally invisible to radar - more effectively than any other

Despite the first disastrous attempt at being creative with a traditional recipe, Norma was undeterred. She wasnā€™t going to be beaten by a small set-back like that. The second foray into this culinary revolution gave birth to NC2, which was marginally more recognisable in that it wasnā€™t entirely

What the.....where on Earth did that all come from? And why has it landed here? I can only guess that Opuscalgary is responding to Bzuk's request placed with myself and other editors for an independant unbiased opinion of the disputes that have arisen regarding the Avro Arrow article. Fair enough,

In reality, the Conservative government HAD EXTENDED THE EQUIVELENT OF 1.6 billion dollars ( 2007 terms) in government funding after production of the Arrow was halted, in an attempt to make the design economically feasible,& to allow AVRO to develop other projects.AVRO was not a a well run
