The problem that your renaming exercise caused was that all the Banbury articles formed a little self-referential pool within Knowledge but - as the 'Banbury' affix is not standard - they were invisible to other article thus causing unecessary redlinks. The problem with that is that someone else will start an article with the 'approved' name, which in the long run leads to further problems. Can I suggest you look at "What links here" for each of the articles in question and you will see that many pick up pointers from elsewhere in Knowledge. It is this connectivity that make Knowledge the useful tool that it is and why following established naming conventions for places and people enhances this. I understand why you named them as you did (another editor insists on affixing the non-standard 'Huddersfield' to places there) but I hope you will understand why I brought them into mainstream Knowledge practice.
