have been brusque or otherwise given offense. My comments were based on my prior reading on the topic of Gnosticism and my inability to find substantive sources for the Apostolic Johannite Church. A lot of the prevelant material about modern Gnosticism may indeed be inaccurate. If you are familiar with the primary (and historical) source material for Johannite beliefs and churches, my honest recommendation is to publish. There are a fair number of academic journals and other reputable periodicals that would publish articles in that topic area. At the current time, substantive coverage in reliable sources still seems lacking. If the article is deleted, I would happy to personally move the article (for the preservation of the article history) into a userspace sandbox, so that you (and other interested editors) can work on it at your leisure. Also, I've emailed a few people that I know who have better access to materials about more obscure religious movements to see if they might be able to dig up some sources for us. If they (or others) do so, I would be glad to reverse my position, which is based on my understanding of the availability of sources and current policy. Cheers! --

No problem. Thank you for your kind words. While I may not always succeed, I always try to be cordial and open-minded. Similarly, I try very hard to be open to discussion, explaining my rationale, and so forth. I'm glad I could be successful where we so strongly disagreed. Please always feel free to

I am leaving this message directly, as it has little to nothing to do with the substance of the deletion discussion. I have no affiliations or preferences regarding the various Gnostic churches. I am Episcopalian. I have no affiliation with any Martinist, Johannite, Gnostic, Cathar, or other related

Thank you for your kind-hearted reply! Your apology is most certainly accepted, and if we can move forward with cordial discussion, then not really needed at all. We all can get a little caught up with things now and again. (That silly human condition! *chuckle*) Please accept my own apologies if I

Regarding the sockpuppetry, I believe the other editor misspoke (a bit rudely) in calling it "sockpuppetry", though it is the relevant policy.

I am indeed keeping an eye on it. Some of the comments are insightful, but I agree that a clear consensus is unlikely. –
