(And obviously any particular library can be notable for some reason as an exception, just like anything else.)i On the other hand, if people want to interpret this broadly, on the basis that libraries are intrinsically so important that almost any established one is notable on the basis of its importance to the education of the community, I can't see how a librarian like me would object to it--but, honestly, I don't think we've reached that degree of public understanding quite yet, although I'm pleased to see so many wikipedians think so. :).
