While having the support of a major label with its attendant PR and distribution apparatuses may make it more likely that a band will have the articles necessary to qualify for Knowledge (XXG) notability, many bands still manage to achieve notability without this support. Such as this band, which has more than enough 3rd party press to qualify for notability. But I see that the article is lacking in references. I'll try to integrate some references when I get the time. --
