The 1st Bn, 112th Armored Regiment and 143d Infantry Detachment (LRS) were modified and combined to form the 3d Squadron, 124th Cavalry Regiment. The 636th MI Bn of the 36th Infantry Division was converted from a CEWI-Heavy structure to a "Vanguard" BfSB MI Bn.
