For the phrase academic or scholarly journal, the term journal means peer-review journal in contrast to the term magazine, which is edited but not per reviewed. This is thel definition used in instructions to students and library help pages, and reference books. Whether or not it is confusing, we can't change the RW. I'll look at the group of categories &articles & make sure its clear. I've been meaning to do it for a while. Thanks for the reminder.
