Amituanai's photography focuses on diaspora experiences in New
Zealand, family communities, urban environments and amplifying unseen and unheard people. Many of her works depict Pasifika in Aotearoa, and transnational domestic interiors of Samoan diaspora houses. Amituanai is inspired by documentary
