95:. Very soon after Guth moved to Alice Springs he opened an art gallery showing his work, also specialising in works by Aboriginal artists. In 1971 he commenced the work for which he is best known, the "Panorama Guth", the format of which he took from a seascape 76:. Guth escaped from the camp six months later and rejoined the Resistance. Guth was often unwilling to discuss this part of his life; including during lengthy oral history interviews that are available through the Northern Territory Archives Service. 121:
In April 2003, after the gallery almost went bankrupt, it was purchased by local businessmen Terry Leigh and Kevin King. Guth died in July 2003, a few months after the sale of the business, and is buried at
