The rain here is abundant because the park lies in the middle ventral of the Ta-pa Mountains, which goes from the west to the east, differs the yellow river basin from the Yangtze River basin, and intercepts the precipitation by monsoon. The normal altitude changes from 1600 meters to 2630 meters, resulting a relatively cool daytime summer, about 8 °C lower than the downtown temperature. The coldest winter, with snow cover from 50 centimeters to 80 centimeters deep, will last for about three months, from late November to early February.
