Talk:Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood episode)

686:@ Digifiend: Not necessarily, because there is no reference in this ep to when "our" Jack was a boy. The story he tells to "real" Jack in this ep is from when he already an adult and a member of an army, possibly the Time Agents (he mentions helping to recruit the best friend who was then tortured to death by the enemy). The backstory from "Adam" takes place when Jack definitely was a boy, not an adult. There's nothing to definitely establish that this is the same enemy, although it doesn't definitely establish that it isn't either. It's a bit of a leap either way, since Jack is a man whose best friend is killed in one story, and a boy whose brother goes missing in the other. Could be two entirely unrelated incidents. 774:
reason he was worried about his death was that he couldn't continue with that life he'd lead as everyone knew he was dead (even though he came back). I don't know if this is in any way correct, it's been awhile since i watch that Dr Who episode where he is dropped of in the past, I might be confusing it with anouther one, maybe the doctor was dopped off in the past and had to live though 50 years before the tardis entered the planet again... -

The two talk more, Jack asking if the Captain would like to go elsewhere, but he refuses, acknowledging that Jack has obliquely told him that his remaining time on Earth is limited” 162: 789:
According to Utopia, he was left behind in the year 200100 and used his wriststrap to jump back in time, overjumping to the 1800s. In fragments, it shows he was recruited to Torchwood early on, so would have been able to avoid his conman 1941 self, as he was in London and the current Jack in Cardiff.
773:
Does anyone else think that the Captain Jack that captain jack meets Was actually himself (I seem to remeber when he left the doctor he was dropped of some time along time in the past).Even though he explained that he stole his identity - he was lying to conceal his imortality form Tosh. ANd the
493:, the first time Captain Jack meets the doctor is on 21 January 1941, and this episode takes place on 20 January 1941. Saying that Captain Jack had been present in London on the 20th January 1941 in The Empy Child, while plausible and probably true, I'm fairly certain is OR. 818:
1. Fake Jack does not learn the real Jack is attracted to him until after they go down into the cellar/bomb shelter. The conversation where the fake Jack hints at the real Jack that he may not be around after tomorrow is way before, when they are still up in the ballroom.
479:
confirms the fourth, but this really doesn't belong here, since only 2007's Jack and the Real Jack matter to the episode, and the events of this episode don't affect the other two Jacks at all, since they'd both be younger versions of the 2007

We are not limited to one image, we are limited to a "limited number" - each image would have to provide critical commentary within the text, in the interests of uniformity (one per page) I'd support the removal of image #2.
