I have to agree with the creator/editor of this site that there is no justification for the removal of the lyrics. This is a very old song long out of copyright that has notability in that it has been found in several countries and recorded by a number of notable artists. As a traditional ballad it

can be classed with the songs mentioned above. When creating or editing articles on traditional songs I did not come across any objection in the Knowledge Manual of Style or related articles to quoting the lyrics of a traditional ballad. A copy-edit of the article would be recommended, however.
