I flipped it upside down, it did not look the same. What's wrong? If I rotate it 180 degrees around the origin, it does look the same. If I reflect it through the X axis, aka turning it upside down, the curves have moved to different quadrants.

You had it right the first time. In the picture you have now the shapes are symmetric with respect to the X axis. NOT with respect to the origin.
