It seems misleading (incorrect?) to start with, "Let M be an orientable closed manifold of dimension n, with boundary N," because a 'closed manifold' is defined in wikipedia as such: "In mathematics, a closed manifold is a type of topological space, namely a compact manifold without boundary."

Please, is there any reference to the triple version? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Perhaps 'closed manifold' should be replaced with 'compact manifold'.
