Talk:List of Tokyo Mew Mew episodes

can probably be removed, I just put it in because the first one had one. I don't understand your comment on the broadcast schedule. We have only listed the airdates in Japan and the US, which is appropriate and a requirement for an episode list. Beyond that, other broadcasts are briefly mentioned in one or two sentences. It is relevant to the episodes and as those broadcasts are not of the original episodes dubbed, but of the Mew Mew Power episodes redubbed, it is a more unique element of this particularly title that should be mentioned. For the DVD releases, what do you mean a few paragraphs? Each DVD section has a paragraph, at least as much as can be sourced, and it is properly summarized in a sentence or two in the lead.
1620:. I currently bought the 6th DVD(since that is the only site I found that will ship internationally) and it should be at my house in a couple of weeks so I'll give more details on who released it and stuff when I get it. Also the French version has DVD releases of Mew Mew Power. They have volume 1 of the first season which only has the "premiere episode" and episodes 1-8. The episodes after that to episode 26 were never released on DVD. But 2 boxsets containing episodes 27-52 were released uncut in French audio only. -- 1948:
least somewhat notable in that the channel is airing the 4Kids dubbed episodes over two years after the broadcast concluded here. Unfortunately, they did no press release at all to indicate motivation or why they would pick up an incomplete series, or if they intend to do their own dub of the remaining 26 episodes. So it may end up being irrelevant, unless they release the series to DVD, then it would be relevant to those Region 2 releases. Will wait for the draft on the DVDs.

They also broadcast episodes in 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hour slots from time to time, with the result that ep. 15-20 first aired on 10-Jul-05 on Ktv (Before the US!). Good luck finding a source for these! 441: 493: 475: 327: 341: 307: 503: 1450:
seems weird, though. I guess really neither is needed, though, as most lists don't note at all, so I just renamed to Japanese Title, in keeping with the norm. There is nothing wrong with the two seasons being slightly different, in this case, because 4Kids couldn't get season 2 as is already noted in the text.
2103:
Re: source - the TV guides for the period (Dish DStv Guide Apr - Sep) lists MMP airing weekly from 7-Apr-05 - 29-Sep-05 (26 weeks), but do not list episode numbers, Likewise does it list the omnibus slots (one entry for each slot), except in this case it is not even possible to assume the same amount
1742:
Actually, no, several FL episode lists do include info only in the lead (again, such as broadcasting information and foreign language releases) that also have sections with DVD releases :) The DVD releases, however, should only give details and tables on the original releases and any English language
1688:
Normally this is true, however with episode lists, it is common to have information not elsewhere, such as broadcast information. Additionally, as only English language DVD releases are supposed to have detailed coverage, for a pure French release, only brief coverage should be included. I suspect in
1654:
Thanks for the info indeed; this is very unusual. The description in the article needs an update though: 6*4=24; that means that either all of the episodes has not been released yet, or that some DVD's contains more episodes (quite likely, considering the first region 4 DVD contains six episodes, 6 +
797:
While editing, make sure to watch for grammar errors (spotted a few in your first edits), and that while removing detail, you do leave in at least basic explanations of new concepts (like chimera anima and the introduction of new characters). Also, make sure the end is included. It would be better if
2076:
I asked a fellow editor who has a lot of FL ep lists under his belt and he said that we should list basically like that (though not with the header change except to change US to English). However, we must have a source for the South African air dates and then yes, note which country it aired in for
2056:
We could mention before the list that episodes 1-13 aired first in the US and that episodes 14-26 aired first in South Africa. Then we change "Original airdate" and "US airdate" to "Japanese airdate" and "English airdate" respectively; and list the dates accordingly. Adding channel names may or may
1947:
Okay on the paragraph. For the broadcasts, that isn't giving a broadcast schedule to mention that the English dubbed episodes aired in other countries (and if Pop Girl airs the last three, they will need to be added as the first English air dates for those episodes). I think the Pop Girl one is at
1905:
Well, I will admit part of the issue is the uniqueness of having to deal with 4Kids only dubbing half the show, so I can see moving more of particular aspect to the ep section and putting a shorter summary in the lead. I've made an attempt at redoing this. The short paragraph in the second section
1543:
The date formats are fine and do not need changing at all. The current format allows it reformat based on the logged in user's preferences and it is what is used in most featured episode lists. They are also the most easily readable for most people. As for standards dropping, um, no and that's all
1182:
The original air date headings and format are fine and consistent with other episode lists, including featured ones. Original is obviously Japanese since its a Japanese series, and US because that's where the series aired. We could change US to English, but we would then if the last three eps are
744:
Most of the earlier ones are fine in terms of length. Summaries go by word count, rather than number of sentences. Our guidelines allow summaries 100-300 words, with up to 350 for complex stories. The TMM episodes aren't too complex, and most of the summaries here that I spot checked were only 150
1826:
I don't think I agree with that idea. The lead is fine in terms of structure and format, and consistent with other FL episode lists I have done. I can't think of anything in the lead that needs to be moved to any other sections. Can you give me better idea of what you have in mind? I was thinking
842:
It seems to me that the Translated titles went missing during the page move. I had a look at some of the other anime series' episode lists and it seems to me that they are normally provided when they are not the same as the English episode titles. These titles will have to be re-added. I am aware
706:
episode list has been reformatted and combined into one proper episode list, per the Anime and Manga project guidelines and to be more in line with the consensus for episode formats. Episode summaries need to be added, however. The few that I've put in now are a little two short, however the old
1635:
Thanks for the info! If you can provide any additional details from the DVD when you get it, please let us know. Meanwhile, I'm adding the info I can find online. :) Unfortunately, the French releases have no English language tracks, so they warrant nothing more than a brief mention in the lead.
1507:
I need to mention though that there are not really a "Season 1" and "Season 2", as all 52 episodes originally aired in one go. I guess a better split would be something like "Japanese episodes that were dubbed" and "Japanese episodes that were not dubbed" (Although not with those headings! But I
1449:
Using the FLs as an example, I've added in translated titles for the first season. I put the 4Kids titles first, however, again using the FLs as examples. That seems more appropriate. The titles should all be Kanji, not Hiragana, but I'm not expert. Calling it Japanese writing system, however,
1689:
Peer Review it may have to come out all together, but I thought it was so unusual and interesting that a case could be made for making the exception since it a partial redub of the 4Kids English dub. I'll check the DVD covers to see which episode count is correct and adjust accordingly.
1176:
to me as there are no English titles. Hence my deliberately not including them. In general, they are only included in episode lists where they are actual official English titles to include, not all (presuming we are talking high quality, FL and potential FLs, not just any random
1984:
Do you have a source for the SA airdates? That needs to be added :P For line, countries yes and channels if brief (if it gets excessive, cut down to countries). Broadcast dates if there is room and reliable sourcing. Reruns, no, we don't even mention those on US runs. :)
2037:
Good gravy...its a wonder anyone could keep up with it. :P I'm not sure what to do with them though. If some of the episodes aired in SA before they aired in US, since technically we are supposed to list the first English airdate, not just the US ones. *scratching head*
1930:(Note: MMP was broadcast in SA on M-Net and KTV as well...). This content is not generally seen as encyclopaedic: and as such not provided. The inclusion of broadcasters, other than the original, should be specifically motivated (Why are they notable, but the other not?). 1214:(both featured lists) the original Japanese translation can be included alongside the hiragana. Translations are generally not considered original research. Aside from that, I agree with AnmaFinotera in that the remainder of the changes are unnecessary. 1183:
aired in the UK, those would be the first English air dates for those episodes and would also have be added as such with a footnote. I included the series names to make it clear that the English titles are NOT translations, but the Mew Mew Power renames.
1856:
The first section about the 4Kids dub is 189 words long in the lead, but 138 words long in the episodes 1-26 section. This is only relevant to that one section, as such most of that content needs to be moved, as it currently places undue weight on this
1743:
releases. Now, if there were an English language European release, I could see moving the French information there as well to supplement that Regional info, but unfortunately, there is none so it has no other place to go but the lead.
1171:
I disagree. There is no need to put in the English episode numbers, as its already explained in the text that 4Kids aired them out of order, and really only one was moved. For the English titles, the translated titles from fansubs are
728:
Summaries are too wordy and too "detailed". It's possible to sum each of 'em in just 3-4 sentences. Currently, I've been watching this series for the first time; at eps 29 at this point. So, I can probably help out a bit with this.
1477: 103: 35: 1787:
Not at all. I removed the tag mostly because the copyedit folks usually prefer other major issues be dealt with first and since we're missing most episode summaries, I figure for now we just need an informal double checking.
1864:. I believe that listing the original schedule(s) (Japan and first English version) is fine, but subsequent ones are not really relevant. As such, the subsequent broadcasters should be limited to the main article's infobox. 1867:
DVD releases: I believe we can add a few paragraphs there mentioning that TMM was released in Japan, and MMP originally released in SA, Australia, and France; with the note that the French has completed the dub on their
745:
words, which is fine. Some of the second season ones do need cutting down to a more appropriate length. All of them need checking for accuracy as some inaccuracies have been found, as well as basic grammar tweaks. --
326: 1244:
If both titles are provided, it is clear if the mentioned title is the official title, or the translated title. It also has the advantage that the official titles for episodes 27-52 can be left out, as there are
1544:
I'll say on that. I've corrected the text on how many aired and changed the headers since there are no seasons (I went with the simpler Episodes #1-26). I also added a short intro to the second set of episodes.
1920:
Actually the paragraph for the second section should rather stay, we could mention something re. that it was not dubbed (already done), but was originally part of the same broadcast (i.e. not a second season).
137: 2253: 2345:
I tried making a new page for this, but it was rejected for lack of notability. But I feel the episodes should be listed. Should they be listed here or do you disagree with the lack of notability decision?
1114:
There are only English titles for the first 26 episodes. There will be confusion between the official dub titles and the translated titles in episodes 27-52 if the translated title is not provided for all
2397: 84: 1498:— "ISO 8601 dates (1976-05-13) are uncommon in English prose and are generally not used in Knowledge. However, they may be useful in long lists and tables for conciseness and ease of comparison." 1476:
Re: "Japanese title" — My, how standards have dropped: When I started the draft, there were about 5 featured episode lists. I can even remember FL status being opposed due to that exact problem (
1238:
I see the case for not including the English episode numbers, but it is odd to not to include the Ep. number (which is not always the same as the Japanese #), and to include the English air date.
430: 317: 1973:
I have no problem with listing the countries that aired the original or 4Kids dub, but where do we draw the line? Countries - acceptable, Channels - (?), Dates broadcast - (?), reruns - (?), ?
122: 707:
ones were way too long. If someone would like to use those as a guide to write more appropriate length summaries, approximately 5-10 lines, here are the links to the old versions:
2202:"Outside, Ichigo bends over the sleeping Masaya and thinks about kisses." -- I cannot quite remember, but did she not actually kiss him here? (I can check if you want me to do so.) 2437: 1211: 1099:
The English episode were not broadcast in the original order, but as follow — 12, 1 - 11, 13 - 23 (Ignoring the events of Ep. 12). I do not believe Ep 24 - 26 aired in the US.

1583:
Agreed. My thinking is first, get proper episode summaries in for all of the eps, then get a copy edit and make sure we have proper sourcing. Maybe a peer review, then FLC.
772: 2126:
Also a company called FPB also had a hand in distributing by rating the show and giving it the "okay" for it to be released. They gave it an "A: For all ages." rating.
2412: 289: 279: 2021:(<--)Hi, I actually noted the dates during the original broadcast. The schedules were quite complicated though: The premier slot ran from 7-Apr-05 to 30-Sep-05 on 2257: 2122:
Okay, I just got the DVD(took long enough XD) and the company who distributed the DVD is called GTV. They're also some sort of satelite TV provider company as well.
1860:
The second section about the 4Kids dub is 140 words long in the lead, but no content, other than the tables, in the rest of the article. I could also be wrong, but
1802:
Please note that this will include the cut-and-paste of information currently in the lead to existing sections, with an appropriate summary being added in the lead.
1501:
It would have helped if there were a specific MOS for Anime Episode lists, or even just tables, but I was unable to find one that is applicable to tables' headings.

As Sephiroth BCR mentioned, translations are generally not seen as OR, I can mention a few FL's that provides them (For two, see Sephiroth BCR's comment above).

2472: 621: 2457: 2452: 525: 1142:
