Hungary in a context, it is very important to state that Slovaks lived about a thousand years side-by-side with the Hungarians. They were not simply "under administration of the Kingdom of Hungary". Slovaks and Hungarians strongly influenced each other, culturally, linguistically, etc. They lived together, there were many mixed-marriages, they fought together (e.g., in the Kuruc army, or consider György Szondy / Juraj Šucha), there are strong artistic connections (Bálint Balassi, Sándor Petőfi, etc). Slovaks in the present-day Hungary not immigrated into Hungary, but moved within the state. They could not be fully understood without the historical context, that is why it is important to include statements about the past.
