Several of the raids and naval battles are not framed within the first restoration expedition (1837) and the second restoration expedition (1838-1839). For example, the Blanco Encalada raid on Callao and Guayaquil in 1836 is outside the first restoration expedition, which began in 1837 as I have already mentioned. Another example is the battle of Islay that takes place before beginning the second restoration expedition. That is why it is better to separate in naval campaign and land campaigns. --
