the template. amaterasu as far as i know isnt celebrated by the japanese anymore, but instead they celebrate toji just as the chinese observe dongzhi. and jonkonu is no longer observed in west africa but in the caribbean. plus it is very difficult to really claim a specific place that a festival tradition began, especially ones so ancient. so maybe the cultural name is better? and maybe footnote symbols to represent extinction or migration would help (†,‡,→). i'll try and get around to contributing to the template at some point.
