phrase "differences between the chance of people having an item correct" is especially problematic. I think I get the general idea of what you mean by the last half of the sentence, but the first part, frankly, is incomprehensible. Please take that as an effort to improve the article, not a personal attack. I'm an expert on testing (but, of course, credentials mean nothing on Knowledge (XXG)), but I really find the sentence very difficult to understand.
172:": Not all psych tests ask for maximum performance, only those that measure areas related to ability. For example, personality tests do not ask for "maximum performance"; how does one provide maximum performance on the MMPI-2? As another example, interest inventories do not seek information about performance. 179:": Here again, this statement addresses only tests related to abilities. The problematic word here is "correctly". We don't typically think of giving "correct" responses to personality tests, unless you consider nonpathological responses "correct", but I don't think that's what you're referring to. 21:
