My comment in "Evolution of Sex" talk was correct: the red line (increasing slope, convex) is the synergistic epistasis case: each additional mutation produces a larger effect on fitness. I believe the figure legend has now been corrected to reflect this (not by me). I'm not sure why I wrote in the talk section of "Epistasis" that the blue line was the synergistic case, and I have now completely removed my comment.
